Welcome to inkworkz.com My name is Gareth Alexander Gibson and I am a freelance concept artist currently living in Northern Ireland. From a early age art has played a major role in my life.  I picked up my first crayon at the age of four and have rarely set it down since. I drew early inspiration from renaissance artists like Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci.  I am also a huge fan of Frank Frazetta and Brian Bollands work.

I gained great commercial experience over the past few years producing art concepts for several established companies. I am currently looking to develop my work within the video gaming industry as I feel my artwork is well suited to this field. I have several friends working in the industry and have always been a massive video gaming fan.

I am always trying to improve my work an learn new techniques,  I enjoy using traditional media aswell as producing digital art. I believe packages like photoshop and painter have changed concept design for the better as it gives the artist the ability to produce highly rendered designs with great atmospheric lighting and mood in half the time of traditional techniques.
